Karma is calculated daily and is currently used to determine

• who should be auto-modded when the last room mod leaves a room
• how many custom badges a user can upload to their profile page

Karma is calculated with a secret formula based on simple chat statistics. Camming alone in a room 24/7 won't increase it. Hanging out, not lurking, but not dominating the room through flooding, should help you acquire karma.

Being the first to cam down and make way when the rooms cam slots are full is good karma. Doing it 10 times an hour to acquire karma won't be effective.

A quick jump-start for acquiring karma is to customize your profile page and verifying your email address.

Supporting the site and gifting hearts to others will increase karma.

The karma formula will be adjusted over time. Karma is not cumulative -- it is recalculated from scratch each day, so everyone's karma may rise or fall as the formula is adjusted. It's nothing personal. <3
